Hawks capture title at McKendree tournament

Rockhurst won the team title with a school record score of 930

The Rockhurst women's golf team captured first place at the McKendree Bearcat Dual Gender Tuesday at the Fair Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Illinois.

The Hawks broke a school record with a 54-hole team score of 930. Rockhurst shot a 312 in the final round after shooting 305 and 313 in the first two rounds.

Caroline Setter led the Hawks in second place with a 228 score. Setter shot a 76 in the first round, followed by 79 and 73 in the next two rounds while breaking the school record for 54 holes.

Emma Mullendore and Grace Claney tied for fourth place with 234 scores. Mullendore shot a 71 in the first round to break the school record for 18 holes. Claney's best round was a 74 in the second round.

Greta Hinds finished eighth at 237. Sarah Biscan tied for 16th at 251.
