Lantz leads Hawks to 3-1 win over Quincy

Anna Lantz scored the game-winning goal and posted two assists to lead the Rockhurst women's soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Quincy Friday night at Bourke Field.

Lantz gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the 22nd minute on a 19-yard shot off a cross from Halle Mallum.

Patti Ehrnman scored her career first goal in the ninth minute on a shot from eight yards. Lantz and Caitlyn Smith set up the goal.

Lizzo Rosenthal converted a cross from three yards out in the 52nd minute to give Rockhurst a 3-1 lead. Lantz and Mallum assisted on the goal.

Rockhurst outshot Quincy, 25-8. The RU Hawks had 10 shots in first half and 15 shots in the second half.

Lantz led the Hawks with five shots and three shots on goal. Elle Kimball posted four shots. Ehrman added three shots and one shot on goal. Junior goalkeeper Taylor James made four saves.

Rockhurst (6-4-3, 4-3-2 GLVC) plays Illinois Springfield at home on Sunday.
