Hawks open with No. 24 Walsh in Crossover event

The Hawks are the No. 4 seed in the GLVC

The Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament is returning to the Hammond Sportsplex in Hammond, Indiana this weekend for the 15th annual affair with 57 matches being played by 38 teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference, and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Rockhurst (14-3) is the No. 4 seed in the GLVC will face Walsh (17-0), the No. 1 seed in the GMAC, at 2 p.m. Friday. Walsh is ranked 24th in this week's AVCA Top 25 poll, while the Hawks remain at No. 25 for the second week in a row.

The Hawks will play Purdue Northwest (9-8), the No. 6 seed in the GLAIC at 7 p.m. Friday. Rockhurst will find out its Saturday opponent after Friday's play concludes.

Live stats will be provided for all courts, while every match will also be live streamed through JEDtv. Links to both coverage options can be found on the tournament website.

Saturday's tournament action gets underway at 9 a.m. with additional sessions slated for 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m. to wrap things up. Nine of the matches on Saturday will be determined by results from Friday's competition and updated on the website Friday evening after the last session.

At the conclusion, the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team will be announced.
