Rockhurst meets high-scoring Miners tonight

Rich Byhre is the leading scorer in the GLVC.

Rockhurst returns home tonight to face the Missouri S&T Miners at 7:30 on Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks (10-8, 5-5 GLVC) have a 7-1 record at home led by Rich Byhre. The junior forward tops the conference with a 19.2 scoring average.

Missouri S&T (12-7, 6-5 GLVC) leads the GLVC in scoring (83.2 pg). Sophomore guard Julien Smith ranks third in the conference with a 16.6 scoring average.

The Miners won both meetings last year with Rockhurst after dropping eight in a row to the Hawks.

Rockhurst closes out the weekend against Drury at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Hawks split their two meetings with Drury last year and lead the all-time series, .

The Panthers (7-12, 3-8 GLVC) are led by freshman guard Logan Applegate with a 12.4 scoring average.
