Hawks breeze past William Jewell, 76-48

Ten players broke into the scoring column to lead Rockhurst to a 76-48 victory over William Jewell Monday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks outscored the Cardinals in every quarter including an early 17-10 lead after the first period. Rockhurst never trailed the Cardinals and outscored them 28-11 in the fourth quarter.

Ali Kamies and Allison McFarren led the Hawks with 12 points apiece. Kamies added one block and one steal. McFarren collected two 3-point field goals, three assists and two steals.


Macie Conway tallied 10 points while Clare Diener collected nine points on three 3-point field goals. Rebeca Garcia and Molly Hummel both scored seven points. Hummel also added a team-high eight rebounds and four assists.

Jewell made 12-of-50 shots from the field (24.0 percent). Bree Shannon led the Cardinals with 10 points.
