Truman State defeated Rockhurst 75-62, powered by a 41-point second half by the Bulldogs, Saturday afternoon at Pershing Arena in Kirksville, Missouri.
The score was tied 34-34 after a competitive first half, but the Bulldogs took control in the second half, anchored by 13 points from Hannah Belanger.
Ten players scored for Rockhurst, including a team-high 16 points from Keegan Sullivan. The junior guard connected on 7-of-13 field goals.
Rebeca Garcia tallied nine points. Molly Hummel and Reagan Dodd combined for 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Allison McFarren gathered a team-high six assists.
The Hawks scored 28 points in the paint while shooting 36.8 percent from the field (25-of-68).
Truman State (11-5, 7-1 GLVC) made 25-of-54 field goals (46.3 percent) and 12-of-27 three-pointers (44.4 percent). Belanger led the Bulldogs with 25 points.
The Hawks (7-9, 2-6 GLVC) host William Jewell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
