The Rockhurst women hit the road for a pair of GLVC games this week: Thursday at Quincy (5:30 p.m.) and Saturday at Truman State (1:00 p.m.).
The Hawks enter Thursday's matchup with a record of 6-8 and 1-5 in the GLVC, and are coming off a loss to Illinois Springfield, 84-71. Rockhurst will look to bounce back, as junior guard Keegan Sullivan continues to lead the way. Sullivan scored 24 points vs. Illinois Springfield and has now tallied 125 points in her last six contests (20.8 pg). She has made 47-of-106 field goals in that span (44.3 percent).
Molly Hummel returned to form vs. UIS, scoring 13 points and collecting 10 rebounds to have her second double-double of the season. Macie Conway is the third leading scorer for the Hawks, averaging 10.2 points pg. Freshman Ali Kamies has been a key spark off the bench, averaging 6.4 points and 1.4 steals per game.
Quincy is 6-8 on the year, including 2-4 in conference play. Rockhurst defeated Quincy, 60-53, in last year's matchup. The QU Hawks are led by Beth Matas Martin (11.1 pg), Sarah Nelson (9.9 pg) and Dami Adeyinka (7.8 pg).
Truman State currently sits at 9-5 and 5-1 in the GLVC, tied for second place in the league. The Bulldogs are coming off a 68-56 win against Quincy. Truman is led by senior guard Hannah Belanger who is averaging a league-high 21.8 points pg.
