Schilp ties for 18th to lead Hawks at Arch Cup

David Schilp shot a 68 in the second round to lead the Hawks.

The Rockhurst men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Arch Cup on Tuesday, hosted by Missouri-St. Louis and Maryville at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois.

Rockhurst shot a 306 in the first round and a 297 in the second round for an overall score of 603. Missouri-St. Louis won the team title with a 550 team score.

Sophomore David Schilp tied for 18th individually to lead the Hawks. Schilp broke his 18-hole personal best with a 68 in the second round and posted a 36-hole personal best of 142. Caleb Gilliland finished five shots back at 147 (75-72) and tied for 33rd place. Elijah Shirley (74-75, 149) and Caleb Schmid (76-75, 151) tied for 44th and 50th, respectively.
