Freshmen lead Hawks to 3-1 win over No. 16 Hillsdale

Freshmen Sydney Raszler and Sarah Pyle combined for 27 kills to lead Rockhurst to a 3-1 victory over 16th-ranked Hillsdale (25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 25-23) on the first day of the Rockhurst Invitational Friday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Raszler led the Hawks with 15 kills, eight blocks and a .522 hitting percentage. Pyle posted 12 kills, five digs and three blocks. Tera Reberry tallied 11 kills and five blocks. Kenzie Hines added 10 kills and 16 digs.

Maureen Reilly finished with 30 digs. Sarah Montague had 26 assists and nine digs. Brynn Bonewell added 19 assists.
 
Rockhurst held Hillsdale to a .101 hitting percentage. The Hawks finished with 59 kills, 69 digs and 15 blocks.

The Hawks opened the tournament with a 3-0 win over Black Hills State (25-20, 25-21, 26-24) Friday afternoon. Pyle and Reberry each collected nine kills as Rockhurst finished with 37 kills,
