Hawks receive eight GLVC postseason honors

Sam Lindahl led the Hawks with 51 points this season.

Eight men's lacrosse players from Rockhurst earned postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference on Friday.

Three Hawks were named to the All-GLVC First Team: senior attacker Sam Lindahl, junior midfielder Alex Heflin and junior defender Luke Goetz. Lindahl has scored 51 points on 28 goals and 23 assists. Heflin has scored 38 points on 30 goals and eight assists. Goetz has 33 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers.

Five Hawks earned honorable mention honors: senior defender Matt Buckley, sophomore defender Matt Campion, senior goalie Hayden Harris, senior short-stick midfielder Brady Noernberg and sophomore long-stick midfielder Luke Leonard.

Senior midfielder Brady Noernberg was Rockhurst's nominee for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
