Indianapolis held off several scoring threats by Rockhurst to post a 2-1 victory in the second game of a conference doubleheader Sunday at RU's Loyola Park. The fifth-ranked Greyhounds won the first game, 8-0.
Game One: Indianapolis 8, RU 0
The Greyhounds hit a grand slam to take a 5-0 lead in the fifth and added three runs in the sixth.
- Emily Clark reached base three times on two walks and a single.
- Indy's Kenzee Smith (17-3) shut out the Hawks on four hits and six walks.
Game 2: Indianapolis 2, RU 1
The Hawks left the bases loaded in the fifth and stranded nine runners total. Indy scored on a two-run double in the third.
- Clark homered to center in the fourth and singled to center in the fifth.
- Freshman Bre Barchak held Indy to one run on eight hits in 7.0 innings.
