Men stay unbeaten with wins over Newman, Metro State

The Rockhurst men's tennis team posted 4-3 victories over Newman and Metro State Denver last weekend at the Overland Park Racquet Club in Overland Park, Kansas.

Semyon Tsyrenov, Louis Keiner and Cris Cequea-Rivero won their singles matches over Newman after the Hawks gained a point in doubles. Keiner and Tsyrenov won in No. 1 doubles, 6-4. Agustin Cortes and Santiago Rodriguez collected a 6-2 win in No. 3 doubles.

Tsyrenov, Keiner and Andres Sahagun won their singles matches in two sets against Metro State Denver. Santiago Rodriguez had to go three sets to win in No. 3 singles. Cortes and Rodriguez won their No. 3 doubles match by a 6-4 score.

The Hawks (4-0) return to action on March 12 against Palm Beach Atlantic in Orlando, Florida.
