Rockhurst posted a pair of come-from-behind wins over Missouri-St. Louis Saturday at RU's Loyola Park. The Hawks overcame a 6-3 deficit in the seventh inning to win the first game, 7-6, in nine innings. Rockhurst rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win the second game, 3-2.
Game One: RU 7, UMSL 6
The Hawks scored three runs in the seventh after allowing four runs in the top half of the seventh. The winning run scored on a bases-loaded walk to Lilly Spring in the ninth.
Game 2: RU 3, UMSL 2
Emily Clark hit a three-run home run to right field in the sixth to rally from a two-run deficit.
- Freshman Bre Barchak allowed two runs on seven hits over 7.0 innings.
- Barchak retired the last 10 UMSL hitters to get her second win of the season.
