Hawks end weekend with one-run losses at Missouri S&T

The Rockhurst softball team ended the weekend with two one-run losses at Missouri S&T on Sunday in Rolla, Missouri. The Miners won the first game, 1-0, and held on for a 5-4 victory in the second game.

Game One: Missouri S&T 1, RU 0
The Miners scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI groundout. 

Game 2: Missouri S&T 5, RU 4
The Miners jumped out to a 5-2 lead in the second inning, while the Hawks scored three runs in the sixth. 

  • Shakiba led the Hawks with three hits, including a RBI single in the second.
  • Calli Wibbenmeyer drove in two runs with a sixth-inning double.
