Maryville came away with two wins over Rockhurst in a conference softball doubleheader Saturday in St. Louis. The Saints won the first game, 5-4, with the aid of a seventh inning error and got out early in posting a 7-3 win in the second game.
Game One: Maryville 5, RU 4
The Saints scored the winning run with no outs in the bottom of the seventh with the help of an infield error on a sacrifice bunt.
Game 2: Maryville 7, RU 3
The Saints jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning and led 7-2 after four innings.
- Calli Wibbenmeyer led the eight-hit RU attack with two hits, including a two-run home run in the third.
- Freshman Emma Vodnansky had two hits and scored a run.
