Second-half rally leads USI past Hawks

Southern Indiana rallied in the second half to post an 80-71 victory over Rockhurst Friday in Evansville, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles ended the game on an 18-9 run over the final six minutes.

The Hawks took a 21-10 lead into the second quarter and led 40-32 at halftime. Rockhurst outscored the Eagles, 14-6, in the paint in the first half.

Daly Sullivan led the Hawks with 23 points and four 3-point field goals. The senior guard made eight-for-15 shots from the field.

Keegan Sullivan collected 16 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Ella Wedergren posted nine points, five rebounds and three assists.

The Eagles (16-3, 10-1 GLVC) made 25-of-70 shots from the field (35.7 percent). Hannah Haithcock led USI with 22 points (16 in the second half).
