Women face challenging road trip

The Hawks play three games in four days.

The Rockhurst women's basketball team faces a challenging schedule this weekend. The Hawks will play three games in three states in four days.

A mid-week snowstorm forced Rockhurst's game at Southern Indiana to be moved from Thursday night to Friday afternoon. The Hawks (10-7, 6-5 GLVC) face the Screaming Eagles (15-3, 9-1 GLVC) at 3 p.m. Friday on the USI campus.

Southern Indiana leads the GLVC in scoring offense (81.2 points per game). The Eagles have won their last three games by a combined total of 53 points.

Rockhurst plays at McKendree (3-14, 2-8 GLVC) on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The Bearcats have won three of the last four meetings with the Hawks.

The three-game road trip concludes Monday at Missouri-St. Louis in a 4 p.m. tip. The Tritons (14-2, 10-1 GLVC) posted a 61-57 victory at Rockhurst on Jan. 27.
