Women host Lindenwood in GLVC Tournament

The Hawks are the No. 7 seed in the 2022 GLVC Women's Tournament.
The Rockhurst women won two games at home last week to clinch a first-round home game in the 2022 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament. The Hawks host the Lindenwood Lions at 7 tonight at Mason-Halpin Field House.

Rockhurst (15-11, 11-9 GLVC) finished seventh in the GLVC Point Rating System, while Lindenwood (11-15, 8-11 GLVC) placed 10th in the GLVC Point Rating System. This is the Hawks' fourth trip to the GLVC Tournament and their first appearance since 2017.

Daly Sullivan led the Hawks with 23 points in a 72-68 victory over Truman State on Saturday. The senior guard, who ranks third in the GLVC with a 17.0 scoring average, has scored 934 points in her career at Rockhurst.

Lindenwood is coming off a 68-42 loss at Southern Indiana on Saturday. The Lions have lost eight of their last 10 games. The Hawks posted a 58-57 win over Lindenwood in Kansas City on Jan. 29. The Lions are led by senior forward Julia Ruzevich leads the GLVC in scoring (19.4 pg) and rebounding (11.0 pg).
The GLVC, in partnership with BlueFrame Technology, piloting a pay-per-view pass system for the 2022 GLVC Men's and Women's Basketball Championship Tournaments. All games will be available for purchase, including the first round on Feb. 28 at campus sites and the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals on March 3-6 in Edwardsville, Ill., at First Community Arena.
