Rockhurst split its final two games on Day Three in the Music City Invitational at Cedar Stone Park Sunday in Smyrna, Tennessee. Findlay edged the Hawks 7-6, while the Hawks ended the day with a 7-2 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan.
Game One: Findlay 7, RU 6
Findlay score four runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-1 lead. The Hawks came back to tally five runs in the bottom of the fifth.
- Emily Clark cut Findlay's lead to 7-6 with a two-run single in the fifth.
- Allison Shakiba reached base on four of her five at-bats. She tripled, singled and walked twice.
Game Two: RU 7, Kentucky Wesleyan 2
Rockhurst erupted for 12 hits, including six extra-base hits. The Hawks scored three runs in the first and third innings.
