Hawks return to action to take on William Jewell

Freshman Macie Conway ranks third in minutes played for the Hawks

The Kansas City Crown rivalry between Rockhurst and William Jewell resumes Saturday at 3 p.m. in Liberty, Missouri. The Hawks currently hold a 5-1 lead over the Cardinals in the KC Crown point standings heading into the first of their two women's basketball meetings this season.

Rockhurst (3-6, 0-3 GLVC) lost on the road to Indianapolis (90-77) two weeks ago and has been on a break since.

Keegan Sullivan (17.2 pg) and Macie Conway (11.7 pg) lead the Hawks in scoring. Sullivan ranks third in scoring and ninth in rebounding in the GLVC. Conway stands 22nd in scoring and 10th in free-throw percentage in the GLVC.

Jewell (2-10, 0-4 GLVC) are coming off a 75-56 loss at 17th-ranked Alaska Anchorage Sunday night. Freshman guard Ayden Shannon led the Cardinals with 18 points.

The Hawks have won three of the last four meetings, including a 70-44 win in February. The Cardinals lead the all-time series, 16-13, since 2000.

Students from each school will be admitted free during all Rockhurst-Jewell games when presenting a valid student ID at the gate, except for conference tournaments.

Live stats and live video will be available for Saturday's game. Check the Rockhurst web site for the game links.
