Rockhurst scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 52-47 victory over Washburn in the Hawks' final game of the Washburn Classic Saturday at Lee Arena in Topeka, Kansas.
The Hawks connected on six-of-15 field goals (40 percent) in the fourth quarter. Keegan Sullivan scored Rockhurst's first eight points in the final quarter.
Sullivan led the Hawks with 15 points while collecting seven rebounds and two steals.
Freshman Macie Conway posted 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Ali Kamies and Rebeca Garcia each scored six points. Molly Hummel and Reagan Dodd combined for 15 rebounds.
Rockhurst scored 28 points in the paint with 15 points scored from second-chance shots.
Washburn, 2-2, made 16-of-57 field goals (28.1 percent). Aubree Dewey, Natalie Figueroa, and Emma Chapman led the Ichabods with nine points apiece.
The Hawks now have a 2-3 record and will play Missouri Valley College at home on Tuesday.
