Sullivan helps rally Hawks to 79-74 road win

Keegan Sullivan collected 27 points and nine rebounds to power Rockhurst to a 79-74 win over Parkside in the Nexus Classic Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Sullivan connected on nine-of-15 field goals and made all of three of her three-point attempts. She also went six-of-seven at the foul line. Sullivan was named to the Nexus Classic All-Tournament Team.

Molly Hummel posted 10 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists. Freshmen Clare Diener, Ali Kamies, Macie Conway and Moriah Putt combined for 28 points.

Down 52-50 late in the third period, the Hawks went on a 15-4 run to take a 65-54 lead with 6:17 left to play. Sullivan scored 11 of Rockhurst's 22 points in the fourth period.

Rockhurst scored 34 points in the paint while shooting 44.8 percent from the field (26-of-58). The Hawks' bench outscored Parkside's bench, 30-13.

Parkside, 1-1, made 23-of-59 field goals (39.0 percent). Alyssa Nelson led the Rangers with 38 points.

The Hawks, 1-1, will host Upper Iowa on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
