Hawks host 23rd-ranked Lewis, UIS

Maureen Reilly was named to the Midwest Region Crossover All-Tournament Team.

The Rockhurst volleyball returns home after playing on the road the past two weekends. The Hawks face 23rd-ranked Lewis Friday at 6 p.m. and host Illinois Springfield at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Hawks (14-5, 5-2 GLVC) are coming off a 3-0 victory over Northwood in the Midwest Region Crossover last Saturday. Rockhurst split its two Friday matches in the Crossover.

Junior libero Maureen Reilly leads the GLVC in digs per set (5.63). Reilly was named the Crossover All-Tournament Team.

Senior middle hitter Gracie LaForge ranks sixth in hitting percentage and blocks per set in the GLVC. Junior right side hitter Tera Reberry stands eighth in kills in the conference. Junior setter Sarah Montague ranks sixth in assists and eighth in service aces in the GLVC.

Lewis (16-6, 5-2 GLVC) is coming off a 3-0 record at Midwest Region Crossover victory. Juliana Van Loos leads Lewis with 3.19 kills per set.

The Flyers have won four of the last five meetings with RU and own a 10-8 lead in the series since 2012.

Illinois Springfield (10-9, 3-4 GLVC) won all three of its matches at the Crossover. The Prairie Stars posted a 3-1 win over Walsh last Saturday. Angela Denney leads the GLVC in kills per set (4.29).

The Hawks have won all 12 meeting with Springfield since the Prairie Stars joined the GLVC in 2012.
