Hawks are seeded fourth in Midwest Region Crossover

The Hawks will play three matches at the Midwest Region Crossover.
The 14th annual Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament, the nation's largest collegiate volleyball tournament, will be held at the Hammond Sportsplex & Community Center in Hammond, Indiana on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 14-15.) The Rockhurst Hawks are the No. 4 seed from the GLVC and will play three matches over two days.

The Hawks (12-4, 5-2 GLVC) open play on Friday at 2 p.m. against Ferris State (13-7, 10-1 GLIAC) and Cedarville (10-9, 8-4 G-MAC) at 7 p.m. Ferris State is the No. 1 seed in the GLIAC and Cedarville is the No. 6 seed in the G-MAC. Rockhurst's opponent on Saturday will be determined late Friday.

The regional volleyball event will feature 13 Great Lakes Valley Conference teams, 13 institutions representing the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and 10 programs from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Rockhurst posted a 2-1 record at the 2021 Midwest Region Crossover in Indianapolis. The Hawks are 27-12 all-time at the Crossover.

The two-day tournament will feature 54 matches throughout nine sessions at one of the top volleyball facilities in the country. The event, designed to increase competition between teams from the three leagues in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region, has previously been held in Aurora, Illinois; Lansing, Michigan; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
