Third-quarter run leads Hawks past Jewell

Eleven players broke into the scoring column to lead Rockhurst to a 71-48 victory over William Jewell Tuesday night in Liberty, Missouri.

Daly Sullivan scored eight points in the first quarter to help the Hawks jump out to a 16-6 lead. Sullivan finished with 16 points while connecting on four-of-eight 3-point field goals.

Rockhurst closed the third quarter on a 22-7 run to lead a 57-36 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Ella Wedergren hit three 3-pointers in the run.

Wedergren tallied 13 points, four rebounds and five assists. Meghan Urbanski collected 10 points and three steals.

Rebeca Garcia and Molly Hummel combined for 11 points and 16 rebounds. Allison McFarren scored eight points. Reagan Dodd added five rebounds.

The Cardinals connected on 18-of-54 shots from the field (33.3 percent). Kate Hillyer led Jewell with 15 points.
