Women post 69-56 win at Southwest Baptist

Keegan Sullivan posted 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Rockhurst to a 69-56 victory over Southwest Baptist Thursday night in Bolivar, Missouri.

Rockhurst closed the third quarter on a 13-1 run to take a 54-41 lead. Sullivan and Lani Thompson combined for nine points in the run covering a little over four minutes.

Sullivan gave the Hawks a 16-point lead at 61-45 with a layup with 8:12 left. Baptist never got closer than nine points in the final eight minutes.

Molly Hummel scored 14 points on six-of-eight shooting. Thompson came off bench to score 13 points while hitting three 3-pointers. Reagan Dodd and Rebeca Garcia combined for 15 rebounds. Ella Wedergren added eight points.

The Bearcats connected on 21-of-59 shots from the field (35.6 percent). Nyah Pettus led Baptist with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
