Hawks hold off Lindenwood to post 58-57 win

Rockhurst held off a late rally by Lindenwood to post a 58-57 victory over the Lions Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. Lindenwood missed a game-winning jump shot with one second left on the game clock.

Keegan Sullivan hit two free throws at the 2:49 mark to give the Hawks a 58-50 lead. The Lions ended the game on a 7-0 run while Rockhurst missed two free throws and went 0-for-4 from the field in the final 2:17.

Haley Wiskur came off the bench to score six points during a 10-0 run by Rockhurst in the third quarter. The sophomore guard finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Keegan Sullivan led the Hawks with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists. Molly Hummel collected 12 points, nine rebounds and two steals. Daly Sullivan posted 10 points and four rebounds.

The Lions connected on 17-of-47 shots from the field (36.2 percent). Devin Fuhring led Lindenwood with 25 points.
