Rockhurst travels south this weekend

The Hawks play at Drury on Friday.

The Rockhurst women's volleyball team returns to the road for the second consecutive weekend. The Hawks (8-5, 3-1 GLVC) meet Drury in Springfield, Missouri on Friday at 5 p.m. and face Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Missouri at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Drury (9-5, 2-3 GLVC) enters the match coming off a 3-1 loss at Missouri S&T Tuesday night. The Panthers have lost five of their last nine matches after opening the season with a 5-0 record.

Rockhurst holds a 16-8 advantage in the series since 2007 and lead the all-time series, 47-16. The Hawks posted two wins over Drury last spring, including a 3-2 victory in Springfield.

Southwest Baptist (6-7, 2-3 GLVC) posted a 3-0 win at William Jewell on Tuesday, The Bearcats play at Missouri S&T Friday night.

The Hawks hold a 7-0 record against SBU since 2011. The Hawks collected a 3-0 win in Bolivar last spring.
