Hawks finish second at RU Fall Invitational

Emma Mullendore finished in second place.

The Rockhurst women's golf team rallied on day two to finish in second place at the Rockhurst Fall Invitational Thursday at the Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.

William Jewell won the team title with a 674 total. The Hawks finished five shots behind Jewell with a 679 score after making up 14 shots on the Cardinals after the first round.

Emma Mullendore led the Hawks with a second-place finish. She shot an 81 in both rounds to finish with a 36-hole score of 162. Four freshmen also finished in the top 10 for Rockhurst. Grace Claney placed fifth at 168, Jayden Berrey came in sixth at 170, Greta Hinds finished eighth at 173 and Sarah Biscan tied for ninth at 175.

Emma Hughes rounded out the team scoring for the Hawks with a 176 score to place 11th.
