Josie Lindemann hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to rally Rockhurst to a 3-2 victory over seventh-ranked Indianapolis on Day Two in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Tournament Friday in East Peoria, Illinois.
Lindemann connected on a 1-0 pitch to center field with two outs for her fifth home run of the season. The Hawks' comeback started with two outs and the bases empty.
Shelby Winkelman singled and
Emily Clark walked to set up Lindemann's game-winning blast.
Lexie Storrer (21-4) held the Greyhounds to one earned run on four hits while posting 13 strikeouts. She gave up two runs in the fifth on a pair of two-out run-scoring singles.
Lauren Marks led off the second with a double, which was the Hawks' only hit until Winkelman's single in the sixth.
Rockhurst (26-14) will play McKendree (25-11) at 10:00 a.m. Saturday.
