Storrer leads Hawks to sweep at Lewis

Lexie Storrer led Rockhurst to a doubleheader sweep at Lewis Sunday, holding the Flyers to three runs on seven hits over 12 innings Sunday in Romeoville, Illinois.

Storrer pitched the Hawks to a 5-1 victory in the first game. She allowed one run on two hits over six innings with six strikeouts.

Emily Clark and Lauren Marks both homered in the opener. Clark hit a solo shot to center in the first inning. Marks clubbed a three-run homer to center in the fifth. Josie Lindemann added an RBI single in the fifth.

Lindemann drove in three runs to lead the Hawks to a 4-2 win in the second game. She hit a two-run homer to right-center in the third and had an RBI single in the sixth. Marks led the nine-hit attack with a double and two singles.

Storrer (14-4) gave up on two runs on five with six strikeouts in six innings. Anna Newcomer pitched the seventh to pick up her first save.

Rockhurst (18-12, 11-9 GLVC) returns home to host Illinois Springfield on Saturday, April 24.
