Hawks remain unbeaten with 4-0 win over Maryville

The Rockhurst Hawks remained undefeated in women's soccer in cruising to a 4-0 victory over Maryville Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

Elle Kimball scored in the 10th minute to give the Hawks an early 1-0 lead. Kimball headed in a shot from six yards out off a direct kick from Alex Moss.

Jillian Leetch made it 2-0 with a 25-yard shot from the left side of the field after making a steal just past midfield.

McKenna Leetch connected on a 25-yard shot to make it 3-0 for her second goal of the season. Hannah Byrne and Moss assisted on the goal in the 66th minute.

Carter Holton tallied the final goal in the 73rd minute with assists from Haley Schroeder and Greta Seal. Holton beat the Maryville keeper on a 15-yard shot.

McKenna Leetch and Mallory Mumby led the Hawks with three shots apiece. Freshman Alyssa Kerperien shut out the Saints while making eight saves.

The Hawks (3-0-1) play at Lindenwood on Friday.
