Rockhurst splits twinbill at Drury

The Rockhurst Hawks pounded out 10 hits to record a 3-1 victory over Drury in the second game of a conference doubleheader Tuesday in Springfield, Missouri. The Hawks fell by a 1-0 score in the first game.

Lexie Storrer came out of the bullpen to win her sixth game of the season. Storrer held Drury to one hit over the final 3.2 innings while striking out six.

Maya Gallagher hit her first home run of the season to give the Hawks a 1-0 led in the fourth inning. Calli Wibbenmeyer added a run-scoring double in the fifth. Lauren Marks scored on a fielder's choice groundout in the first.

Marks, Emily Clark, Wibbenmeyer and Cassie Coltvet each finished with two hits. Marks doubled in the first and Coltvet doubled with one out in the sixth.

Drury won the first game with a walk-off walk in the bottom of the seventh. Storrer suffered her first loss of the season, allowing one run on three hits over 6.1 innings.

Mark tallied two of the Hawks' six hits in the first game.

Rockhurst (8-4, 3-1 GLVC) returns home to play Missouri S&T on Saturday.
