Hawks are back home after monumental win at Drury

The Hawks upset the No. 1-ranked Drury Panthers, 75-69, Tuesday in Springfield.
Fresh off one of their biggest wins in school history, the Rockhurst women's basketball team will play three games over the next five days at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks will host McKendree on Thursday (5:30 p.m.), Southern Indiana on Saturday (2 p.m.) and Lewis on Monday (1 p.m.).

Rockhurst, 7-5, upset the No. 1-ranked Drury Panthers, 75-69, Tuesday in Springfield. The Hawks never trailed in the game after jumping out to a 21-2 lead in the first quarter.

The win vaulted the Hawks up to sixth place in the GLVC Points Rating System. Coach Larry Park has one of the stingiest defenses in the GLVC. The Hawks rank second in scoring defense (64.2 pg) in the conference.

Daly Sullivan and Keegan Sullivan both rank in the top 25 in scoring in the GLVC. Monika Faerber is in the top 10 in the GLVC in rebounding, steals and blocked shots.

McKendree, 4-10, has lost seven of its last eight games. Junior guard Sydney Diekhoff leads the Bearcats in scoring (13.6 pg).

Southern Indiana, 10-3, dropped two games last week after winning five in a row. Senior guard Emma DeHart ranks 15th in scoring (15.0 pg) in the GLVC.

Lewis, 9-5, will play at Truman State on Saturday before coming to Rockhurst next Monday. Freshman forward Kathryn Schmidt leads the Flyers in scoring (13.1 pg).
