Rockhurst women close out home schedule this weekend

The Hawks are looking for their first win at home since Jan. 21.
The Rockhurst women will close out their home schedule this weekend in a battle for the eighth and final spot in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.

Rockhurst is currently in ninth place in the GLVC Point Rating System by .01 behind Maryville. Springfield trails Rockhurst by .01 while sitting in 10th place. The Hawks close out the regular season on the road next week.

The Hawks, 7-9, host Illinois Springfield on Thursday (5:30 p.m.) and Quincy on Saturday (1 p.m.). The Hawks are looking for their first win at home since defeating Missouri S&T on Jan. 21.

Daly Sullivan continues to lead the Hawks in scoring (14.3 pg), while her young sister Keegan Sullivan is averaging 12.1 points per game. Monika Faerber leads the team in rebounding (7.5 pg) and steals (2.2 pg).

Springfield, 8-9, is coming off a 71-68 loss at McKendree on Tuesday. Junior guard Lauren Ladowski ranks seventh in scoring (17.8 pg) in the GLVC.

Quincy, 2-13, suffered a 100-99 triple overtime loss to Illinois Springfield on Feb. 6 prior to playing at William Jewell on Thursday. Sophomore guard Laney Lantz ranks 10th in scoring (16.9 pg) in the GLVC.
