Dramatic finish lifts Hawks to 71-69 road win

A three-point basket by Daly Sullivan with four seconds left gave Rockhurst a 71-69 victory over Washburn in the Washburn Thanksgiving Classic Saturday in Topeka, Kansas.

Sullivan finished with a career-high 33 points on 13-of-18 shooting. The senior guard scored 23 points in the second half to help rally the Hawks from a 41-28 halftime deficit.

A three-pointer by Sullivan gave the Hawks their first lead of the second half at 61-60 with 5:11 left in the fourth quarter. The lead changed hands four more times, capped by Sullivan's game-winning three just seven seconds after Washburn took a 69-68 lead.

Keegan Sullivan finished with 16 points, six rebounds and four assists. Molly Hummel collected 10 points and seven rebounds. Reagan Dodd posted a team-high nine rebounds and scored six points.

Washburn, 1-3, made 25-of-56 field goals (44.6 percent). Hunter Bentley led the Lady Blues with 16 points and six rebounds.
