Overtime goal lifts Lindenwood over Hawks

The Lindenwood Lions took advantage of a direct kick in overtime to edge Rockhurst, 1-0, in women's soccer action Sunday at Bourke Field.

Bailey Bologna scored the winning goal when she knocked in a shot in front of the goal off a corner kick from 22 yards out in the 92nd minute.

Rockhurst finished with 14 shots and eight shots on goal. The Hawks tallied four shots in the first half and 10 shots in the second half.

Gabby Hennessy led the Hawks with four shots. Olivia Van Belle collected three shots on goal. Elle Guttmann and Jessica Grayek each had two shots. Freshman Taylor James posted four saves.

The Hawks (3-5-2, 2-2-2 GLVC) play at Southern Indiana on Friday night.
