Hawks post 4-0 win over William Jewell

Freshman Olivia Schwarzen scored a goal and assisted on another goal to lead Rockhurst a 4-0 victory over William Jewell Friday night at Bourke Field.

Schwarzen opened the second half with her team-high fourth goal of the season to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead. A corner kick by Schwarzen set up the second goal, scored by Lauren Cousins in the 24th minute.

Elle Kimball gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a 15-yard shot in the 15th minute. Elle Guttmann wrapped up the scoring with a 30-yard shot, assisted by Mallory Mumby, in the 63rd minute.

The Hawks finished with 20 shots and 11 shots on goal. Guttman led Rockhurst with six shots and four shots on goal. Cameron Murphy collected four shots and Cousins added three shots. Taylor James posted one saves in the second half

The Cardinals (0-15-2, 0-13-1 GLVC) posted two shots and one shot on goal.

Rockhurst (6-9-2, 5-6-2 GLVC) close out the regular season at home against Truman State on Sunday.
