Hawks face tough road trip to Indy, Lewis

The Hawks have won their last three matches.

The toughest road trip of the season awaits the Rockhurst women's volleyball team. The Hawks (15-8, 8-3 GLVC) face Indianapolis on Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern time and meet 21st-ranked Lewis at 3 p.m. Saturday.

RU's Averi Vomastic, Justice Wingate and Maureen Reilly continue to rank among the league leaders. Vomastic is sixth in kills (3.23 per set), Wingate stands second in blocks (1.18 p/s) and Reilly ranks third in digs (4.80 p/s).

Indianapolis (11-12, 7-4 GLVC) is coming off a 3-1 loss at Lewis last Saturday. The Greyhounds have dropped four of their last five matches.

Rockhurst has won 10 of its last 11 meetings with Indy dating back to 2014. The Hawks lead the series, 11-7, since 2010.

Lewis (16-6, 10-1 GLVC) has a three-game lead in the GLVC East Division. Ava Venema leads the Flyers with 3.38 kills per set.

The Flyers have won seven of the last 10 meetings with Rockhurst. Lewis holds a 10-8 record over Rockhurst since 2010.
