Volleyball team is back home this week

The Hawks have a perfect 5-0 record at home this fall.
The Rockhurst women's volleyball team returns home this week after winning two of three matches at the Midwest Region Crossover. The Hawks (13-8, 6-3 GLVC) host Truman State on Thursday at 6 p.m. and face Quincy at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Hawks are tied for first place in the GLVC West Division. Averi Vomastic, Justice Wingate and Maureen Reilly rank among the league leaders. Vomastic stands sixth in kills (3.13 per set), Wingate is second in blocks (1.16 p/s) and Reilly ranks third in digs (4.71 p/s).

Truman State (4-17, 0-9 GLVC) broke a 15-match losing streak by winning two matches at the Midwest Region Crossover last weekend.

Rockhurst has won its last 11 meetings with Truman dating back to 2014. The Hawks lead the all-time series, 13-8.

Quincy (11-10, 5-5 GLVC) brings a four-game winning streak into its match at Southwest Baptist Friday night. Emily Rehagan leads the Hawks with 3.47 kills per set.

Rockhurst holds a 15-2 record against Quincy since 2010. Quincy posted a 3-2 win at Rockhurst last spring.
