Lewis Flyers post 2-0 win over Hawks

Lewis scored two goals early in the second half in posting a 2-0 victory over Rockhurst in women's soccer action Friday night at Bourke Field.

The Flyers (6-3-2, 4-3-2 GLVC) took a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute and answered with another goal less than three minutes later.

Rockhurst finished with 18 shots. Gabby Hennessy led the Hawks with five shots on goal. Elle Kimball, Hannah Byrne and Jacqueline Nieters each had two shots. Megan Meyers collected three saves, two in the first half and one in the second half.

The Hawks (3-8-2, 2-5-2 GLVC) host 20th-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday.
