McKendree scores early in 3-0 win over Hawks

McKendree scored two goals in the first 22 minutes on the way to a 3-0 victory over Rockhurst in women's soccer action Sunday in Lebanon, Illinois.

The Bearcats (9-1-2, 7-1-1 GLVC) took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute and answered with another goal three minutes later.

McKendree scored its third goal in the 51st minute.

Rockhurst finished with three shots. Olivia Schwarzen and Jessica Grayek each posted a shot on goal in the first half. Taylor James recorded eight saves, five in the first half and three in the second half.

The Hawks (3-7-2, 2-4-2 GLVC) host Lewis on Friday.
