Hawks face demanding road tests in St. Louis

Monika Faerber ranks eighth in rebounding in the GLVC.
The Rockhurst women's basketball team travels to the other side of the state this week for a pair of demanding road tests in St. Louis.

Coach Larry Park's team faces Lindenwood on Thursday (5 p.m.) and Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday (1 p.m.).

Rockhurst, 5-4, is currently in second place in the GLVC West Division behind undefeated Drury. The Hawks rank fourth in scoring defense (65.3 pg) and second in field goal percentage defense (37.0) in the GLVC.

Senior guard Daly Sullivan leads the team in scoring (13.4 pg, 19th in GLVC). Junior forward Monika Faerber ranks eighth in rebounding (7.6 pg) in the GLVC.

Lindenwood, 4-4, is coming off a 72-67 loss at home to Lewis on Tuesday. Senior guard Julia Ruzevich leads the GLVC with a 21.4 scoring average. She also ranks second in rebounding (10.0 pg) and second in three-point field goals made (2.75 pg) in the conference.

USML, 8-5, plays William Jewell Thursday night before hosting the Hawks on Saturday. The Tritons are led by senior forward Alex LaPorta, who ranks sixth in scoring (18.2 pg) and sixth in rebounding (8.7 pg) in the GLVC.
