Mullendore leads Hawks after first round at Ottawa Invitational

Emma Mullendore is tied for second place individually after shooting a 77 in the first round.

The Rockhurst women's golf team, led by Emma Mullendore, is in third place on the team scoreboard with a 343 score after the first round of the Ottawa Fall Invitational Monday at the Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas.

Mullendore shot a five-over-par 77 over the 5,989-yard layout located next to Clinton Lake. The sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska is tied for second place individually, just one shot behind the leader.

Sophomore Caroline Setter is tied for sixth place with a solid round of 80. Sophomore Caroline Lynch ranks tied for 17th with a 90 for the Hawks. Freshman Carly Krause, playing as an individual, is in 23rd place with a 93.

The 36-hole tournament concludes on Tuesday at Eagle Bend.
