Chris Hamil capped a 37-point output with a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds to carry Rockhurst to a 76-72 victory over 12th-ranked Bellarmine Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.
Hamil's eighth three-pointer gave the Hawks a 74-72 lead with 4.8 seconds left. After a Bellarmine turnover, RU's
Nick Volz sank a pair of free throws with three seconds left to ice the Hawks' first win over the Knights since 2010.

Rockhurst rallied from a 50-40 deficit with 13:13 left in the second half. The Hawks went on a 19-6 run, with Hamil scoring 12 of the points, to take a 59-56 lead at the 7:02 mark.
Hamil scored 26 of the Hawks' 46 points in the second half. He connected on 13-of-23 field goals and eight-of-15 three-pointers. He also posted a team-high five assists.

Quinton Curry collected 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. Volz added eight points and six rebounds.

Rockhurst (14-8, 10-4 GLVC) shot 54.9 percent from the field and was perfect from the foul line (10 of 10). The Hawks moved up to fourth in the GLVC Point Rating System with six games left in the regular season.
