The Rockhurst Hawks have a pair of road games this week -- at Lindenwood (Thursday, 5:30 p.m.) and at Missouri - St. Louis (Saturday, 1:00 p.m.) -- as they hit the home stretch of GLVC play with just four games remaining.
Coach
Larry Park's team is coming off one of its best performances of the year, a 98-54 rout of Southwest Baptist on Senior Day. Five Hawks were in double figures, led by seniors
Madeline Ronshausen (26 points) and
Lauren Krissman (19 points). Rockhurst led the game wire-to-wire and were the aggressors on both ends of the floor, an attitude they will look to bring on the road with them in their last four games this season.
Lindenwood enters Thursday's matchup with a record of 14-8 (10-6 GLVC). The Lions have won three of their last four and are enjoying a nice first season in the GLVC. Lindenwood has scored 90 and 92 points in their last two wins, led by Kallie Bildner and Lindsay Medlin.
UMSL enters the weekend with a record of 12-13 (7-9 GLVC). The Tritons fell to Southern Indiana on Saturday, but had won five of their previous six games before that. Alex LaPorta (12.4 points per game) and Laura Szorenyi (12.3 pg) lead the Tritons offensively.
Saturday will be a homecoming of sorts for Rockhurst's St. Louis natives -- Ronshausen,
Molly Hummel,
Lani Thompson, and
Erika Pudlowski.
