The top-ranked Drury Lady Panthers remain undefeated with a 103-60 win over Rockhurst Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks hung around in the first quarter, battling defensively against a Drury team that had been averaging 109 points per game in their previous four contests. Payton Richards drained a buzzer-beating 30-footer to give the Lady Panthers an 18-9 lead after one quarter. That jump-started Drury, who exploded in the second quarter, outscoring Rockhurst 34-12.
Three Hawks finished in double figures --
Madeline Ronshausen (13 points),
Molly Hummel (11 points) and
Paige Pendley (10 points).
Maddy Grennes pulled in a game-high 12 rebounds.
Drury turned 31 Rockhurst turnovers into 37 points. The Lady Panthers (24-0, 15-0 GLVC) had 54 points in the paint.
Rockhurst will look to bounce back Saturday in their final home game of the season against Southwest Baptist (Saturday, 1:00 p.m.).
