The Rockhurst Hawks hit the road for a pair of GLVC games this week -- Thursday at Truman State (5:30 p.m.) and Saturday at Quincy (1:00 p.m.).
The Hawks enter Thursday's matchup with a record of 9-9 (3-7 GLVC) and are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Maryville, 81-80. Rockhurst will look to bounce back, as senior guard
Madeline Ronshausen continues to lead the way. Ronshausen scored 25 points vs. Maryville and has now tallied 112 points in her last four contests (28.0 pg). The first team All-GLVC performer has made 25-of-44 three-pointers in that span (56.8 percent).
Paige Pendley returned to form vs. Maryville, scoring 18 points, upping her season average to 9.7 pg.
Lauren Krissman scored 13 points and added four steals. The senior from Fort Smith, Arkansas has provided great energy since returning to the starting lineup.
Meghan Urbanski (8.9 pg) and
Daly Sullivan (8.7 pg) have provided sparks as well at times.
Truman State currently sits at 13-4 (9-1 GLVC), tied for second place in the league. The Bulldogs have won three straight, taking down Quincy, Southern Indiana and McKendree last week. Truman features a balanced offense, with four players averaging double figures -- Hannah Belanger (13.2 pg), Sloane Totta (13.0 pg), Katie Jaseckas (11.6 pg) and Katey Klucking (10.4 pg).
Quincy is 6-12 on the year, including 2-8 in conference play. Rockhurst defeated Quincy, 72-61, in the first meeting on Jan. 2. The Hawks are led by Aleksandra Petrovic (11.2 pg), Alexa Low (10.5 pg) and Laney Lantz (10.1 pg).
