Hawks move to 7-0 with win at Drury

The Rockhurst women's soccer team held off Drury to remain unbeaten with a 7-0 record. A first half goal by Jillian Leetch gave the 22nd-ranked Hawks to a 1-0 victory Sunday in Springfield, Missouri.

Leetch scored her third goal of the season on an 18-yard shot into the back left of the net in the 21st  minute. Elle Guttmann was credited the assist.

The first-place Hawks, now 5-0 in the GLVC, collected 19 shots and six shots on goal. Drury, 1-7-1 and 1-5 in the GLVC, posted five shots.

Leetch led the Hawks with eight shots and three shots on goal. Mary Koeller, Cathy Rometti, Hannah Byrne and Hannah Lauer each had two shots. Senior keeper Rosie Breheny finished with three saves.

The Hawks return home to host Maryville on Friday at 5 p.m.
