Silberberg, Trost named All-America Scholars

Daniel Trost averaged 77.91 strokes over 23 rounds in 10 tournaments and collected four top 20 finishes.
Rockhurst's Michael Silberberg and Daniel Trost were named 2019 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). A record number of student-athletes earned All-America Scholar status including 112 in Division II.

To be eligible for Division II Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in at least 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 78.0 and maintain a minimum cumula­tive grade point average of 3.20. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Silberberg competed in 10 tournaments in his senior year for the Hawks. The Wildwood, Mo., native averaged 75.61 strokes over 23 rounds and posted five top 15 finishes. He shot a career-low 68 and a 54-hole personal best 218 at the the McKendree Bearcat Intercollegiate in the fall.

Trost averaged 77.91 strokes over 23 rounds in 10 tournaments and collected four top 20 finishes. The senior from St. Louis shot a career-low 70 and tied a personal best 148 over 36 holes in the Arch Cup last fall.
